Starting out

In 2005, a year after moving to the UK from Asia with her family, Star set up a market stall with a friend in Covent Garden selling lingerie sourced from local wholesalers in London.


A few months later, she made her first visit to China to investigate buying direct from manufacturers and then moved to Camden, taking a market stall and a small ‘stables shop’. Through many contacts made in Camden she started to look at wholesaling some of her items and set up Starline Lingerie.

Design & Manufacturing

Success from experimenting with her own lingerie designs helped the wholesale business expand though she also encountered challenges with the current suppliers on smaller, high quality productions. So she decided to tie up with garment workshop, one of the aims being to create jobs where she grew up in the Philippines.

(Please rest assured that no small children or cute furry animals have been harmed in the process of making our collection. All our garments are individually crafted by each well trained machinist and are not mass produced in sweat-shop conditions).

The flexibility and control over quality afforded by an in-house workshop enabled Star to swiftly develop new designs for her own Wild Rose brand, support customers with bespoke designs and expand supply to new customers in Europe and the USA.

The Starline Lingerie website came on-line in 2008 to show the complete Wild Rose range and to show seasonal ranges. The range includes several modern styles as well as classic and retro designs.

Great News

We do not have a minimum order quantity as we want to encourage our new clients to try out our products. We believe that setting up a minimum order will only inhibit our future business partner in trying to promote our product - if our products are selling on your side it will mean that both Starline and our valued customer both benefit.

We do not sell retail on our website. If our customers are promoting our brand and retailing our products we do not need to compete in retail distribution.

Starline Lingerie and the Environment Starline Lingerie respect the environment and recycle supplier packaging and internal wastes weekly. We use recycled paper products wherever possible.
